How do I request a travel letter?

If you are flying internationally, it’s important to carry both proof of prescription and a travel letter authorising you to carry your medication and needles.

Wegovy (semaglutide) and Mounjaro (tirzepatide) are prescription-only medicines, and some countries enforce strict drug import regulations. A travel letter helps you pass through airport security with hypodermic needles and your prescribed medication without issues.

Certain destinations, including India, Turkey, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates, have particularly strict regulations regarding the carrying of prescription medications. You must carry proper documentation if travelling to these countries.

To request a travel letter, please submit a request to our Care Team. Please include your travel dates. We recommend that you contact us at least one week prior to your departure date to allow sufficient time for preparation.

If you are travelling within the United Kingdom or by car, a travel letter is generally not required. However, carrying one may offer additional reassurance during your journey.
